The Healthcare Committee seeks to communicate, educate and facilitate the design, construction and operations of sustainable Healthcare Facilities.

The Healthcare Committee will work with Architects, Engineers, Facilities Managers, Construction Managers and Operations Personnel to create sustainable healing environments that are in keeping with the tenants of the Hippocratic Oath:

• To practice and prescribe to the best of my ability for the good of my patients, and to try to avoid harming them.

• Never to do deliberate harm to anyone for anyone else’s interest.

• To avoid violating the morals of my community.

Healthcare on Long Island is second to none.  The goal of this committee is to help provide the highest quality, highest performing environments that will compliment this care.  In helping to implement Green Building Practices, we can help to create healthier environments for our patients as well as reducing the impact of these facilities on the environment.

The Healthcare Committee will seek to help providers incorporate the LEED rating systems into the practice of designing, constructing and operating Healthcare Facilities.
