Mission Statement
Our  Green Technology Committee investigates, evaluates, comes to understand and then introduces "green technologies" to the USGBC-LI chapter's board, members and the public. We define "Green Technologies" as those products, services, equipment, processes and solutions that contribute to sustainable initiatives, policies and endeavors. Such technologies will provide a positive impact not only to buildings, but to our business and residential communities in a beneficially financial, social and environmental way. The committee has hosted, and will continue to host, programs on renewable energy resources and has created and produced the series "The Sustainable Organization."  This series was a primer on sustainable practices and how today's technologies are at the center of driving conservation, efficiency and profitability for businesses of all sizes.

The Green Technology Committee meets on the 3rd Wednesday of each month from 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM at Carlyle-on-the-Green in Farmingdale or Telesis Solutions Group's conference room at 243 Dixon Ave, Amityville NY 11701.  Please check the USGBC-LI Web site calendar for dates and venue changes.
